Susan Janyszek and Ronald Pickrel
Founders
Susan and Ron founded Custom Kitchens in 1997. Susan has more than 35 years of experience designing all rooms of the home at all levels. She has designed spaces for hundreds of clients up and down the East Coast and in Puerto Rico. She has served on the Board of The National Association of the Remodeling Industry and has earned their title of Certified Remodeler. She holds a Maryland Home Improvement License. Susan believes in positive thinking, honesty and kindness and always tries to put herself in other peoples shoes. Her strong believe in excellent customer service is the foundation the company was built on.
Debra Sweeney
Designer
Debra has been a part of the Custom Kitchens team for over 18 years. She is kind and patient and has an amazing ability to create unusual and intricate designs. Her Interior Design Degree along with over 30 years of experience helps to ensure that every detail is thought out carefully and interpreted properly. Debra creates spectacular spaces that are stunning and timeless!
Crystal Ames
Designer
As a lead designer at Custom Kitchens, Crystal is able to transform your vision into reality. With over a decade in home design, she has mastered the art of combining innovative designs with practicality. Each design Crystal creates is uniquely tailored to the desire of the client. These remarkable designs exhibit a precision for detail and creative thinking- giving sensibility and style to each space. Together, you and Crystal will collaborate to make your house feel even more like home to you.

Donna Sweeney
Designer
Donna holds a bachelor’s degree in design. This along with her keen eye for detail allow her to fuse traditional forms with current style to create interiors that are classic, with a fresh twist. Detail oriented and insightful, Donna uses these skills to aid her client’s in their journey to create the home of their dreams.
Autumn Fortineau
Project Manager
As project manager, Autumn has a hand in each design. Whether she is on a job-site or in the office- Autumn is on it! She monitors the logistics of every project from start to finish, ensuring each one is completed with accuracy and efficiency. From scheduling deliveries, coordinating with contractors, and inventory management, Autumn has an integral role here at Custom Kitchens.
Kyndall Kahouk
Assistant Designer
Kyndall is a recent graduate of Radford University with a degree in Interior Design. She has a passion for design and uses her creativity to make spaces functional and aesthetically pleasing. Kyndall believes that every project deserves a unique and personalized approach. She specializes in creating renderings that bring your ideas to life. Her invaluable contributions regarding color, style, and design selections assist the designers in making your dreams a reality.
